I started making pottery in my 30's and have a great passion for the craft. I use both stoneware and earthenware clays to create functional and decorative pieces in my garden pottery shed in Glastonbury.
I have been lucky to have had great teachers who have inspired me to explore my own relationship with the clay, to express my own ideas and to value strength of form.
I enjoy the whole process from wedging the wet clay, throwing and turning the pot and mixing and creating my glazes. The thrill of opening the kiln brings the happiness that a piece has turned out as I hoped but also the learning that comes when pots don't come out well.
